Slovakia is a beautiful country that, in addition to many riches, also has one that can only secure our future, and that is domestic talent. Unique and gifted people in many areas, who have the ambition and the ability to represent Slovakia in the world, are the treasure that we should value, support and stand up for. If we succeed, we will have a better chance that they will return home and return the efforts made to our country. And what's more, they will spread the good name of Slovakia around the world, which they claim and which they can rely on in their heyday. The Oneness Festival project was created in the USA precisely to support and export our talent to the world. Specifically, Slovaks in Concert is an exceptional event, which is the largest and strongest of its kind in the world in terms of cultural diplomacy. It is a multimedia festival that focuses on the export of Slovak artists, their anchoring and integration into international contexts and strengthening their position on the world stage through presentation, cooperation with artists of the country in which the festival takes place, and the search and invitation of experts and professionals of the given countries at events organized by us. By creating opportunities for their author's presentation on established platforms in the world and through the creation of collaborations with the artists of the given countries, we direct the attention of the local audience to our artists performing in the given country. We help to establish contacts in the professional field of the given branches of music, fine art, theater.
The festival has had two editions in NYC in the autumn months of 2021 and 2022, and we would like to continue it this year. The pilot event of the festival is a large concert at Alice Tully Hall in the renowned Lincoln Center in NYC with a capacity of 1000 seats. It is one of the biggest events of cultural diplomacy that our country currently supports. After each event, there is an informal meeting of engaged and invited artists, professionals, managers and agents, simply everyone who is a part of the entire creative organism on stage and off stage, which further helps to connect with each other. The program of the concert, which is also an introduction to the week of the UN and its activities, is the strongest we have had the opportunity to experience this year. Slovak artist Alan Bartuš, who was the only European semi-finalist of the biggest jazz competition under the leadership of Herbie Hancock himself, will perform with his Trio. Star musicians and legends of the world jazz scene, Robert Hurst and Jeff Tainon Watts. Slovak phenomenon, thirteen-year-old bassist Aron Hodek and his brother David, who plays drums, will perform together with the world leader in modern jazz, James Francies. The whole event will be covered by world star Esperanza Spalding with her project.
Allow us to cordially invite you to this most significant event of its kind that our country offers during the UN Summit in New York, USA.
